Erik Stevens, born N'Jadaka but better known as Killmonger, is a Wakandan-American and the main antagonist of the film Black Panther (2018). He is the son of Prince N'Jobu, T'Chaka's younger brother, and an American woman.

After witnessing his father's death at the hands of T'Chaka for treason, a young Erik was left in Oakland, California, feeling abandoned and resentful. Fueled by a desire for revenge and a belief that Wakanda should use its technology to liberate people of African descent worldwide, he dedicated his life to becoming a highly skilled soldier and assassin.

Killmonger gained combat expertise as a U.S. Navy SEAL, earning the callsign "Killmonger" due to his ruthlessness. He orchestrated a plan to usurp the Wakandan throne from T'Challa. He ultimately challenged T'Challa to ritual combat, defeated him, and briefly became king.

As king, he intended to distribute Wakandan weapons globally. T'Challa, however, returned and eventually defeated Killmonger. Mortally wounded, Killmonger refused medical treatment, choosing to die a free man rather than be imprisoned and controlled.
